Managing your consent

When you visit ror-system.no for the first time, a consent banner lets you choose which categories of cookies you accept. You can change your choices at any time by clicking ‘Cookies’ in the footer.

Your choices are stored locally in your browser under the key rs_cookie_consent. We never use pre-ticked options — you must make an active choice.

Essential cookies

These are always active and cannot be disabled. They are necessary for the website to function correctly and to store your consent choice.

rs_cookie_consent — stores your consent choice locally in the browser. Duration: until you clear browser data.

Legal basis: legitimate interests (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)) — necessary to store and honour your consent choice.

Statistics — Google Analytics 4

These are set only with your consent. We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use the website, so that we can improve content and the user experience.

IP addresses are anonymised. We use Google Consent Mode v2, which ensures no analytics data is sent to Google before you have given consent.

_ga — identifies a unique user. Duration: 2 years.

_ga_* — session data for Google Analytics 4. Duration: 2 years.

_gid — identifies a user within a 24-hour period. Duration: 24 hours.

Data processor: Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. Legal basis: consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)).

Google Search Console is used solely for search engine optimisation and sets no cookies in your browser.

Marketing (future)

Marketing cookies are not currently active. If we activate them in the future, we will update this page and ask for your consent again.

Planned marketing platforms that may be activated in the future:

  • Google Ads (remarketing and conversion tracking) — Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.
  • Meta Ads / Facebook Pixel (Facebook and Instagram advertising) — Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd, 4 Grand Canal Square, Dublin 2, Ireland.
  • TikTok Pixel (TikTok advertising) — TikTok Technology Limited, 10 Earlsfort Terrace, Dublin 2, Ireland.
  • Microsoft Advertising (UET tag) — Microsoft Ireland Operations Ltd, One Microsoft Place, South County Business Park, Leopardstown, Dublin 18, Ireland.
  • Snapchat Pixel (Snapchat advertising) — Snap Inc., 3000 31st Street, Santa Monica, CA 90405, USA.

The legal basis will in all cases be consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)).
