Mechanical & Piping Project Manager – Data Centers & Industrial Cooling

Rør System is growing and is looking for experienced project managers for mechanical, piping, industrial cooling and data center projects in the Nordic region.

We are looking for candidates with experience from data center projects, large industrial cooling projects, mechanical infrastructure, piping, HVAC, chilled water systems or complex technical installations. Our projects are international in nature and are normally delivered in English, so Norwegian language skills are not a requirement for the right candidate.

The role may be connected to projects in Norway, Sweden, Finland or other parts of the Nordic region. International candidates are welcome, and relocation or rotational arrangements can be discussed for the right profile.

The role

As Mechanical & Piping Project Manager, you will be responsible for planning, coordination and delivery of mechanical and piping packages within data centers, industrial cooling projects or other complex technical installations.

Depending on your background and seniority, the role may be adapted as Project Manager, Senior Project Manager, Mechanical Package Manager, Piping Package Manager or similar.

Key responsibilities

• Manage mechanical, piping, cooling or HVAC-related project packages from start to handover
• Follow up progress, cost, quality, safety and project delivery
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, suppliers and subcontractors
• Work closely with the internal project management team and company management
• Follow up engineering, procurement, prefabrication, installation and commissioning
• Contribute to technical clarifications and practical project solutions
• Ensure good project structure, reporting and documentation
• Manage interfaces between mechanical/piping systems and other technical disciplines
• Work in complex MEP project environments with focus on mechanical and piping scope
• Support tendering, planning and project development when required
• Contribute to improvement of project execution, routines and delivery models

We are looking for candidates with

• Experience as Project Manager, Senior Project Manager, Mechanical Package Manager, Piping Package Manager, Construction Manager or similar
• Experience from data centers, industrial cooling, mechanical infrastructure, piping, HVAC or large technical projects
• Strong understanding of project execution, cost control, progress and contract follow-up
• Technical understanding of mechanical systems, cooling systems, piping, HVAC or industrial installations
• Ability to manage complex projects with many interfaces
• Experience working in MEP environments is an advantage, especially with mechanical and piping packages
• Good communication skills in English
• Structured, proactive and solution-oriented working style
• Ability to work in Norway, Sweden, Finland or across the Nordic region

Experience from data center projects is highly relevant. Experience from large industrial cooling plants, chilled water systems, process piping, energy plants, technical infrastructure or critical facilities is also very attractive.
