Rør System as Gold Partner at CONNECT: Data Centres × Construction
On 20 May 2026, Rør System joins as a gold partner at Connect: Data Centres × Construction at Construction City in Oslo — together with Entrega and Eptec. CCO Bjørnar Haugen will give a technical talk on what a new building mindset requires in data center projects.

Norway at the centre of a global data centre revolution
Over 100 billion NOK is expected to be invested in Norwegian data centre construction over the next four years. Interest from global players is strong — and for good reason. Norway offers clean and affordable hydropower, a stable and cool climate, political security, and favourable regulatory conditions. Demand for AI capacity and digital infrastructure is growing faster than ever, and Norway has positioned itself as one of Europe's most attractive countries for establishing new data centres.
But behind the investment figures lies a more complex picture: to realise this growth, expertise is needed. Norwegian expertise. And the construction sector is a key player.
When two industries meet
It is precisely this connection — between the data centre industry and the Norwegian construction sector — that is the theme of Connect: Data Centres × Construction. The event is Norway's foremost interdisciplinary meeting place for these two sectors, bringing together owners, operators, developers, main contractors, advisors, and specialised subcontractors under one roof.
The event takes place on 20 May 2026 at Construction City in Oslo — Norway's leading cluster for construction and real estate, with over 4,500 professionals gathered in one place. Read more at connectdc.no.

Rør System as gold partner
Rør System participates as one of only three gold partners at this year's event — a position that reflects our strategic ambition to be a preferred partner in technical infrastructure for critical buildings and industrial projects.
At the stand you will meet us in the company of two of the industry's strongest professional communities: Entrega and Eptec. Together, we represent a comprehensive offering in piping, HVAC, and technical installations for data centres and demanding industrial facilities.
A different mindset — Bjørnar Haugen's presentation
Rør System's CCO and technical lead for industry and data centres, Bjørnar Haugen, takes the main stage at 15:00–15:20 with the presentation: «Why data centers require a different building mindset».
With over 25 years of experience in HVAC and the construction industry — and a specialisation in industrial projects and mission-critical environments — Bjørnar is one of the foremost voices in the Norwegian industry on data centre-related deliveries. In the presentation he focuses on what actually distinguishes a data centre delivery project from traditional construction projects: requirements for commission-ready deliveries, closer coordination between disciplines, shorter tolerance margins, and a culture of precision from day one.
A data centre is not an ordinary building — it is a machine. And it requires all actors in the supply chain to understand what it means to build for operation, not just for completion.
Why this connection matters
Data centres impose requirements that the construction industry rarely encounters in traditional projects. Availability, redundancy, precision in coordination between disciplines, and the requirement that everything works from day one — commission ready — are fundamental premises. Matching Norway's construction expertise against these requirements is not only possible, it is a competitive advantage.
Connect: Data Centres × Construction is an arena where these two worlds can learn from each other, build relationships, and find the collaboration partners needed to deliver complex projects. For Rør System, it is about contributing to building the Norwegian expertise that the data centre industry needs — through professional depth, commercial precision, and experience from the very first to the very last phase of a project.
See you at Construction City on 20 May.
