Rør System is Hiring a Consulting Engineer (RIV)

Piping Contracting, Data Centers, Industry and Fire Suppression Systems

Rør System is growing strongly and is now looking for several skilled RIV / consulting engineers in HVAC, sprinkler and cooling systems who want to help strengthen our in-house design department.

Over the past few years, the company has built up a strong technical design department. Rør System has signed major contracts across several different areas and needs to increase capacity further. We've already established a solid professional environment with engineers in the department, and we're looking for more professionals with formal qualifications and experience who can help build a strong, practically oriented design environment closely linked to project delivery. The design team also carries out design assignments independently of turnkey contracts, which makes the workday varied and exciting.

At Rør System you'll work on technical solutions that are actually built, tested and commissioned. We deliver complete piping contracts and technical installations within commercial buildings, industry, data centers, critical infrastructure and fire suppression systems.

We need more graduate engineers (Siv.ing) and engineers with experience in the RIV discipline, and fire suppression systems including sprinkler, water mist, gas suppression and other specialized extinguishing systems.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who wants to combine consulting engineering expertise with practical delivery, technical quality and close collaboration with project management.

Responsibilities

As an RIV / consulting HVAC engineer, you'll work on design, 3D modeling, technical solutions and project development within HVAC, piping contracting, industry, data centers and fire suppression systems.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Participating in the early project and design phase
• Designing HVAC and piping systems
• Designing and contributing to technical solutions for fire suppression systems
• Sizing and technical calculations
• Preparing and reviewing drawings, models and technical documentation
• Working in Revit/BIM and relevant design tools
• Contributing to technical clarifications during the tender and execution phases
• Optimizing solutions for prefabrication, buildability and efficient execution
• Following up quality, function, operational reliability and documentation
• Working closely with the project management group and the company's project owner
• Contributing to the development of internal standards, work methods and design routines

We're looking for someone who

• Has education or solid experience within HVAC, energy, fire suppression systems or similar
• Has experience designing HVAC, piping or fire suppression systems
• Has strong technical understanding and the ability to find practical, buildable solutions
• Has experience with Revit, MagiCAD, AutoCAD or similar tools
• Understands the interplay between design, prefabrication and project execution
• Is structured, precise and solution-oriented
• Enjoys technical clarifications and cross-disciplinary collaboration
• Is proficient in Norwegian and/or English

Experience from data centers, industry, sprinkler, water mist, gas suppression, energy centers, technical rooms or critical infrastructure is a big advantage.
