Sanitary systems are the foundation of every building.
Rør System delivers complete sanitary systems for all types of buildings – from detached houses and apartment buildings to office buildings, hotels, hospitals and industrial facilities. We engineer and install drinking water systems, drainage and all sanitary fittings in accordance with the requirements of the Norwegian building regulations (TEK17), NS-EN 806 and other relevant standards. All installations are carried out by qualified plumbers and documented with complete O&M documentation upon completion.
Sanitary installations for bathrooms, kitchens and technical rooms
A sanitary system covers all needs for access to fresh water and drainage of wastewater in the building. Rør System installs complete bathrooms – including toilet, shower, bathtub and washbasin – as well as kitchens, utility rooms, staff rooms and technical rooms. We dimension and install the system to provide the correct pressure and good water quality at all draw-off points, regardless of floor and load.
In addition to installation, we ensure that all penetrations in floors and walls are sealed and fire-classified. We work closely with carpenters, electricians and tilers to ensure coordinated progress and a finished result without visible joints in the surface.
We use quality products from leading suppliers such as Geberit, Grohe, Hansgrohe, Ifö and Villeroy & Boch, adapting the choice to the building's standard and the client's wishes.
Drinking water and water supply systems
A well-functioning drinking water system provides safe and clean water in the right quantity and temperature to all draw-off points in the building. Rør System engineers and installs complete cold and hot water systems, including hot water circulation pipework (DHW circulation) that prevents stagnant water and reduces the risk of Legionella bacteria.
We work with modern pipe materials such as stainless steel, copper, cross-linked polyethylene (PEX) and multilayer pipe, choosing solutions based on the building's requirements, use and economy. The system is dimensioned to NS-EN 806 and municipal requirements to ensure sufficient capacity and pressure on all floors – even at maximum simultaneous use.
In larger buildings, we install water meters per tenant or residential unit for individual metering and leak detection. We can also supply pressure reducing valves, pressure boosting systems and water softeners depending on the building's needs.
Drainage, stormwater and membrane work
The drainage system handles wastewater from sanitary fittings, technical rooms and production processes, as well as stormwater from roofs, terraces and car parks. A correctly dimensioned and installed drainage system is essential to avoid odour problems, backflow and costly moisture damage to the structure.
Rør System engineers and installs separate systems for wastewater and stormwater in line with modern drainage standards and local municipal requirements. For terraces, balconies and green roofs, we ensure correct falls, sufficient drainage capacity and approved membranes. We coordinate the membrane work with other building trades and ensure that all penetrations are sealed and durable.
Where stormwater retention is required, we install retention pipes, attenuation chambers and infiltration systems that keep the flow to the municipal drainage network within permitted values – an increasingly important requirement in urban areas.
